Snowchi!

Just as I was saying we hadn't had any big snowstorms this year, along came "Snowchi"! We woke up Thursday, February 13th to this! It was glorious. Beautiful. Awesome in every way.  For three years, I had been waiting for a snow like this.

We estimated about 14 inches of the fluffy stuff in our area of the county, enough to give us a four day weekend despite having to work on Presidents' Day.

We shoveled and played and watched movies. Look at the car across the street; it's covered in snow! Look at our mailbox! Somehow, we still got our mail delivered!

Washington Wizards Game

Last night was the much anticipated jump rope performance at the Verizon Center. Madeline had been looking forward to performing at the Washington Wizard's halftime show since last year. She woke up the morning of feeling pretty terrible, but she pushed herself through the day and evening performance.

Here the team is out on the floor. We were seated pretty high this year, but had a great view with the jumbo-tron.

Teammates! I am so grateful to the parent volunteers who run this group. They spend so many early mornings and late evenings for our kids.
