After Madeline rode the ponies, we took a ride on the train and a turn on the carousel. I still haven't been able to coax Sophie onto a Merry-Go-Round pony, but she was quite happy riding on the bench next to me, and this is quite an improvement, I might add. Usually, on carousel benches, she keeps a death grip on me while covering her eyes. This time, she even smiled. She was happy on the train, but insisted on riding in my lap. Sophie is not much of a risk-taker; perhaps that will make the teen years a bit easier to deal with.
